NEW DRAFT HARVESTING PLAN

 

SEWRPC has completd a draft Aquatic Plant Managment Plan Update for Phantom Lakes.

The plan recommends continuing mechanical harvesting as a primary control method for Eurasian Water Milfoil, but also adding small targeted applications of granular 2,4-d herbicide early in the spring for problem Eurasian Water Milfoil areas.
To comment on the plan, come to the February 22, 2012 board meeting at the Phantom Lake YMCA camp dining hall at 7pm. Or email the district or telephone a board member with your input.



2011 HARVESTING PERMIT

 

The DNR granted the PLMD's request for a 2011 harvesting permit with conditions. Harvesting areas are specified in maps for Lower and Upper Phantom Lakes based in part on the distribution of aquatic plants.



2011 ANNUAL MEETING

 

The Annual Meeting of the Phantom Lakes Management District was held on Thursday, August 25, 2011.

Bob Muth and Dave Fait were re-elected to three year terms as commissioners.

District residents approved a budget and levy for 2012.

 

 2011 ICE PATROL REPORT

 

In his 2011 Ice Patrol Report, Town of Mukwonago Police Chief Tom Czarnecki

The Town of Mukwonago and the Village of Mukwonago have both adopted identical ice ordinances that limit the speed of snowmobiles, ATV's, motorcycles and other vehicles on the ice.
